To the Editor:

There’s a lot of naysaying and negativity surrounding the proposed Island-wide Housing Bank. Being someone who used to be way into most, but now avoids all contentious political discussions because they’re pointless, I actually do have a genuine interest in the nuts and bolts of something that has the potential to be a really good and necessary thing for the Island. Knowing the character of a lot of the folks involved in the advancement of this Island-wide Housing Bank concept, I have confidence that the execution of such a grassroots organization will be on the up and up. However, the healthy cynic in me also needs details. The only way we’re going to know what the deal is if we keep the process going.

There’s no need to be afraid of being educated.
