Thanks to the support of its donors, the Island Autism Group has offered a wide variety of well-attended enrichment activities for students and families this fall and winter.

A press release from IAG states activities this year have included therapeutic horseback riding at Misty Meadows, farming and working with animals at the FARM Institute, bowling at the Barn Bowl & Bistro, arts and crafts at the Edgartown library, swimming at the YMCA, drumming with Rick Bausman, and attending the M.V. Agricultural Fair.

Donor support helps ensure that these programs can continue to be part of the daily lives of those with autism, ages 5 to adult, in the Island community.

The release says, “We have seen our program grow rapidly as we fill the need in our community to provide interpersonal and social enrichment programming for students on the autism spectrum, facilitated by our well-trained staff to ensure a safe and fun experience.”
